This position has dual roles in Montezuma Mfg. and Victor Mfg., both divisions of Cosma International, located in Montezuma and Victor, Iowa. We produce metal stampings and robotic weld assemblies for Ford, Chrysler and GM.
##### Job Introduction
Develops, implements and administers policies and procedures relating to all areas of Human Resources, including Employee Relations, Labor Relations, Succession Planning, Recruitment, Training, Performance Management, Compensation and Benefits, Ensures Human Resources department provides prompt, courteous and efficient service to employees. Directs and coordinates a team of Human Resource professionals.
##### Major Responsibilities
1.Key member of the Management team.

3.Develop strategic human resources plans for positive employee relations, absenteeism, resource planning, overtime, and claims management.

5.Ensures a robust department structure by maintaining effective staffing levels and creating succession plans and related employee development plans to support current and future needs.
6.Participates in annual business/budget review and completes departmental budget, monitoring to ensure budget is achieved.
7.Responsible for continuous improvement objectives, including on-going evaluation and cost analysis of the Human Resources department.
8.Responsible for the development and implementation of new HR programs and initiatives.
9.Implement and coordinate recruitment, selection, placement, training, and transfer of employees, and retention of employees. Work with a team to recruit, screen, interview and recommend prospective new hires. Conduct annual training needs analysis ensuring effective training plan exists.
10.Advise, instruct, and make recommendations to management regarding discipline resolution and termination.

12.Develop and implement an effective communication strategy to ensure employees are well informed and educated regarding the divisions and the organizations business conditions.

14.Ensuring availability to all shifts provides service to all employees on interpretation and administration of HR policies and procedures.
15.Ensures compliance with the Employee's Charter in the application of its principles.
16.Ensures compliance with all applicable legislated requirements in the US.
17.Ensure that onboarding activities including new hire and benefits orientations are conducted appropriately and in a timely fashion.
18.Responsible for the effective administration of the applicable sections of QS-9000 / TS16949 and ISO14001 (and any successor programs).
19.Ensure that the Company's Employee Handbook is maintained with current information and that information communicated to all employees.
20.Facilitate and actively participate in the Monthly Employee Meetings.
21.Oversees the effectiveness of the Division Fairness Committee program and supports Hotline investigation and resolution
22.Assesses trends through generated graphs and charts and maintain continuous improvement project tracking to report out status on a monthly basis or as required.
23.Supports and adheres to policies, procedures, and operational guidelines related to established quality management system (TS 16949).
Responsible for all personnel files and confidential information.
24.Responsible for all personnel benefits, profit sharing, workers' compensation systems.
25.Oversees employee training system.
26.Supports efforts to achieve department and plant goals on Employee Opinion Survey.
27.Performs other duties as required.
##### Knowledge and Education
Minimum five (5) years previous experience in a progressive Human Resources department taking on progressively more responsibilities.
Prior HR Management experience and work experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
Post-Secondary accreditation in Human Resources or a related field. Certification in the field of Human Resources Management an asset.
Two years of supervisory experience preferred
